Lolita Description:
Unlike sister restaurant Lola's inventive Midwestern cuisine, Lolita draws on chef Michael Symon's Greek heritage as its muse. The menu includes pizza, pasta and lamb steak. But because this is still Symon we're talking about, the pizzas are topped with duck prosciutto, organic egg and Parmesan cheese, the pasta sits beneath a stick-to-your-ribs pork ragù and the lamb steak is served with arugula, dried tomatoes, pickled fennel and a breezy balsamic drizzle. Hanging in coolers throughout the restaurant, various and sundry sausages, salamis and whole-muscle meats cure until they're dry and immensely flavorful. Bits and slices appear in numerous dishes, adding depth and dimension. An expanded cocktail selection and impressive wine list complement the thoughtfully arranged menu; enjoy your libations in the tiny, candlelit lounge just inside the entrance.
