Ferris Steak House Description:
A third-generation family business, Ferris Steak House is a landmark in its West Side neighborhood---and for good reason. Steaks are tender, flavorful and well prepared; service is friendly and attentive; and the setting is as inviting as it gets. Prime rib is a specialty here, but memorable chops, which are surprisingly tender for such a thick cut, also are a draw. Entrées are served with a choice of potato as well as a house salad with homemade dressing. Non-meat eaters take note: although few seafood selections ever appear on the menu, the chef gladly prepares a vegetable plate for the occasional guest on request. On Friday and Saturday nights, a piano player entertains.
