Fat Cats Description:
Fat Cats is situated in a small Ohio City house that just happens to have one of the area's most striking skyline views. It calls its menu eclectic, but there is a strong thread of Italian with a few Asian and regional seacoast influences throughout. The delights are in the details: spicy soy barbecue sauce served with ribs, olive mustard sauce with the hanger steak, cheddar croutons and onion soup, and tomato jam and herb-crusted goat cheese. Also of note: the seared foie gras starter. More favorites include the penne with sweet sausage, cremini mushrooms and fresh tomato sauce, accompanied by a select red from the wine cellar. The menu changes frequently, usually incorporating local ingredients, some hailing from the garden out back.
