Parking:

Underground parking is available at $8.00 per car. Please enter the garage on the west side of 57th Street at Cornell Drive. There is very little street parking in close proximity to the Museum.

Public Transportation:

If you are taking public transportation, CTA bus number 10, 6 and 55 all come to the Museum. There is a Metra stop just two blocks from the Museums front entrance. Call the CTA at 836-7000 for routes and schedules.

General Rules:

Hand-held cameras, strollers, and wheelchairs may be used through the Museum. No pictures may be taken in the Titanic Exhibition or the Omnimax Theater.

Miscellaneous:

By Car, from the north and northern suburbs—proceed south on Lake Shore Drive.
Continue to proceed straight ahead southbound. Turn right at 57th Drive. You’ll need to be in the right-hand lane. Follow the curve around to the west side of the building and Cornell Drive. Turn left to access the garage entrance ramp.

From the south, southwest suburbs and Indiana – Take I94 West to Stony Island Avenue going north, follow Stony Island to 57th Street and turn right at 57th Street. Go straight, about one block. You’ll see the entrance to the Museum’s parking garage ahead.

From the west and western suburbs. Take I88 East to connect to 290 east. Take 290 East to Lake Shore Drive and take Lake Shore Drive South to 57th Street. At 57th Street, turn right. You’ll need to be in the right-hand lane. Follow the curve around to the west side of the building and Cornell Drive. Turn left to access the garage entrance ramp.
