But step inside this handsome spot---think dark wood, big leather booths, two fireplaces, stained-glass domes---and you'll find a lively crowd (and somewhat atypical menu) almost any night of the week. In a 'hood full of restaurants and bars that cater either to the local gay clientele or frat boys, Wilde Bar & Restaurant manages to work for everyone (there's even a kids menu). The menu is just as diverse, with items ranging from curried mussels to chili-rubbed, grilled shrimp to Caesar salad. But you can easily skip all that and grab a fine pint of Guinness and a plush leather chair in the "library" instead. Good luck reading after you've had a couple.
