Tiny Lounge Description:
The second incarnation of Tiny Lounge may not be as small as its original site under the CTA Brown Line at Addison, but the name still fits (especially on the inevitably packed weekend nights). Regulars of the beloved bar will recognize a few familiar faces among the staff, but the look has completely changed to embrace contemporary décor. Sleek leather booths, cozy high-top tables and minimalist art replace the Art Deco vibe. Another added bonus: There's a menu of shareable small plates. Start with the minced lamb pizzetta topped with dollops of goat cheese and fresh mint leaves and served on a long wooden plank. The baby-back ribs braised in pineapple and seasoned with a five-spice rub is another good option, as is the dish of tiny, ground Wagyu burgers with smoked bacon and a side of fries. Handcrafted specialty cocktails are worth the wait; craft beer lovers will find a friend in the extensive list.
