Sola Description:
This is an especially good place to go when the Chicago weather has you down, as chef Carol Wallack's North Center spot looks a bit surf-reminiscent. The menu, a seasonal mélange of Californian-, Asian- and Hawaiian-inspired fare, will warm you right up. The self-professed former surfer serves up artichoke fritters with zippy soy-lime and sweet honey-white truffle sauces; roasted beet and pineapple salad with yuzu vinaigrette; and barramundi with lemon grass butter. Don't miss the truffle-Parmesan fries either. Curbside carry-out makes eating on the fly a cinch.
