Reliable food at remarkably low prices keeps this circa 1969 Thai spot high on our list. Favorites include smoky charcoal chicken; cuttlefish salad with lemon grass and chili sauce; stir-fried Chinese greens with oyster sauce; and coconut milk curries, as long as they're with chicken since pork and beef tend to be dry. The menu lists about 100 choices; very few are duds. Dishes ordered spicy may bring perspiration to your brow, so it's wise to watch out for fiery fresh green chilies if heat's not your thing. Service can vary from uncaring to almost cordial; also, the big dining room feels rather drab.
