A rambling kind of place with more than a few murals to mull over, this restaurant is often packed. The draws are the huge portions and low prices. But we also appreciate the menu, which goes beyond insalata Caprese to include panzarotti with Gorgonzola dipping sauce. This is not just a red sauce establishment, so expect the likes of mini eggplant Parm, polenta baked with house-made lamb sausage and prosciutto-studded gnocchi in mascarpone cream sauce with dried apricots and walnuts. Nice service helps win us over, too.
