The folks behind Gibsons Steakhouse have done it again with this comfortable, noisy, Italian small-plates concept. The dining room, which is separated by archways and features hodgepodge table settings, fills with a professional, loft-dwelling crowd that heads straight for the in-house prepped salumeria selections (try the delicate ribbons of duck prosciutto and air-dried bresaola); cheeses like Gorgonzola dolce make an appearance, too. A great stop when dining with friends and family alike, there are oodles of appealing choices, including asparagus risotto, garlicky white bean spread, pungent Italian cheese fondue and Neapolitan pizzas---not to mention super-affordable carafes (think $4 and up). Entrées range from pork Marsala to braised lamb shank with gremolata. In the mood for pasta? Try the linguine with clams or ravioli with braised pork and fava beans.
