Naha Description:
The food, a blend of seasonal American with Mediterranean influences, is nothing short of wonderful, a fact that makes the $100-plus price tag for meals a bit more digestible. The menu changes often, but it's always creative and often constructed from local ingredients. An elegant first course may be Yukon potato gnocchi with Spanish chorizo, braised oxtail and Montelarreina cheese alongside caramelized broccoli, nettles and Marcona almonds with infused goat's milk butter. Follow that, perhaps, with the pair of thyme-scented quail, enrobed in "Acorn Edition" II prosciutto with duck fat-fried Austrian crescent potatoes and cockscombs, hedgehog mushrooms and fiddlehead ferns. The wine list starts at the $30-plus level and rises steeply from there. There's a lounge menu that's more than worth checking out, but be forewarned it comes with a hefty price tag, too. Chef-owner Carrie Nahabedian's talent has shown brightly through the years, earning her a following and plenty of cred.
