Though nothing much has changed over the years, this upbeat re-creation of an Italian village exudes the kind of warmth and charm that understandably keeps people coming back. When we indulge in the scaloppine alla Toscanini---beef medallions with mushroom-Marsala sauce---it all makes sense. The extensive selection of specials and specialties blossoms with color yet still connects to its Italian roots. The private booths toward the back of the dining room are pleasant for a quiet and romantic meal.
