Indian Garden Description:
One of the best-looking Indian restaurants on the Devon Avenue strip also has one of the biggest (and most enjoyable) menus. Specialties cooked in a kadhai (iron wok) and on a tawa (griddle-like iron plate) help show off the range of this complex, centuries-old cuisine, while tandoori choices go beyond the standards to include chicken breasts in almond sauce and whole leg of lamb. Don't ignore seafood, such as an appetizer of jumbo shrimp in a tomato-based sauce, or vegetables, among them savory spinach and mustard greens simmered with butter in the kadhai. Almost everything is well prepared and moderately priced for the level of sophistication. Finish with kulfi (un-churned ice cream), and if it's summer, have a mango shake. There's a full bar, too.
