Richard Melman, the food impresario of Chicago, struck gold with this around-the-world dining concept. But once customers figure out they have to navigate various food stands (comfort, pasta, Chinese by Big Bowl, Mexican, rotisserie, sushi) and figure out how to pay, some may wonder if it's really worth it. Sometimes it is; sometimes it isn't. One thing is certain, though: the place never lacks for customers, and it's a catch-all locale where a shopping-weary crew can grab Mongolian beef barbacoa tacos and soup without snarling over whose cravings are priority number one.
