Daily Bar and Grill Description:
This retro-cool joint---a modern interpretation of what's back-in-the-day---has wide-reaching appeal and an all-ages clientele. The menu is large and tempting enough, but we usually like to start with the chili nachos, draped in Chihuahua and cheddar cheeses, tomatoes, black olives and sour cream with house-made guac. Sandwiches are a focus among mains, and it's the burgers that are especially good. Comfort foods like meatloaf, Sloppy Joes and chicken potpie fare well, too. (Mind you, we also dig the hand-cut fries with a healthy zap of malt vinegar.) And we're quick to admit that we would never miss a shot at the buttermilk chocolate layer cake.
