Carmine's is owned by the folks behind Rosebud restaurants; as such, you can expect to find similar dishes here. You'll also encounter the same bountiful portions, energetic atmosphere and upbeat servers---not to mention classics like chicken Parm. Lots of salads dot the menu, as do choices like orecchiette with broccolini and sausage. Begin with baked clams or bruschetta and move on to tortellini carbonara or green noodles and ricotta. What we particularly enjoy, however, is that in the summer months there are few better places in Chicago than this outdoor café. On any given weekend night, a stratum of Chicago moves up Rush Street, and the area really rocks.
