Intimate lighting and lilting music help make the city's most authentic Turkish restaurant romantic, especially when you sit in one of the window alcoves decorated with murals and strewn with exotic textiles. Knowing what to order is the key to having an enjoyable meal here. Good bets include the cold appetizer combination, stuffed grape leaves, doner kabobs and oregano-y lamb chops. There are plenty of more elaborate dishes, too, but we find them hit or miss. The baklava and other pastries are best the day they're made, but the rice pudding is first-rate any time. Turkish wine, beer and potent raki are on hand. After 9 p.m. on weekends, the place gets lively with belly dancing. All meat is halal/zabiha.
