Corner of 6th Street and Church Street. Complex name is Carol Belk Grotnes Parking Complex.

Parking is limited (approximately 340 spaces).

NO Weapons Allowed
NO Food or Drink allowed in the museum.
NO Cameras, cellphones, and/or videotaping equipment of any kind will be allowed in the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit

Children under 14 are not allowed without adult supervision.

Tickets to the Dead Sea Scrolls are a reserved time ticket.

Individual purchases must arrive to the museum no later than 30 minutes prior to their assigned times. Check in for individual tickets will be at the 6th Street Admission desk. No late entry to the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. All Sales are final. No Refunds.

**CONCESSIONS- The Discovery Cafe is located on Level 1 of Discovery Place. Menu includes Pizza Hut Pizzas, Hamburgers, Sandwiches, Salads, and Soups. Discovery Place offers vending machines. Groups of 15 or More are required to make a reservation with the cafe one week prior to scheduled event by calling 704-343-2885. Discovery Place does not serve alcoholic beverages during normal operating hours.

**GROUP SALES- Groups (15+) are required to make a reservation prior to their visit to receive a group rate. Groups can call 704-372-6261 x300 to make a reservation between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm.

For groups who reserve tickets with the event date being before March 31, 2006, Monday through Friday, will receive a $1.00 the Dead Sea Scrolls ticket.

Group purchases must arrive to the museum no later than 30 minutes prior to their assigned times. Groups must check in at the North Tryon entrance. Discovery Place will offer a shuttle service for bus drivers for groups arriving by bus to an off-site location. No late entry to the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. All sales are final. No Refunds.

**DISCOUNTS/COUPONS- Persons can receive a $1.00 off the Dead Sea Scrolls who attend the event between Monday through Friday through March 31, 2006. No other discounts or coupons will be allowed at this time. With the purchase of the Dead Sea Scrolls ticket, a visitor can purchase a ticket to the Imax Dome Theatre for $5.00 during the same day visit.

1. Take Exit 11, Brookshire Freeway East
2. Take the Church Street Exit (no exit number)
3. Turn right onto Church Street
4. At the 3rd light, turn right onto 6th Street
5. Our parking deck is immediately on the right

From I-77 heading North (Pineville, Rock Hill, Columbia)
1. Take Exit 10B – Trade Street East
2. Turn left onto College Street
3. Turn left onto 6th Street
4. Drive past museum, parking deck is one block on the right

6. At the 3rd light turn right onto 6th Street

From Highway 16, Providence Road, Indian Trail, Queens College, Randolph Road
1. All these roads turn into 4th Street, head west towards downtown
2. Turn right onto College Street
3. Turn left onto 6th Street
4. Follow 6th to parking deck (will be on right, one block past museum)

From Independence, Highway 74, Monroe, Albemarle, Wadesboro
1. Take Independence Blvd West
2. Follow signs to get on the John Belk Freeway
3. Stay in the right hand lane, take the 6th Street exit (first exit)
4. Follow 6th to parking deck (will be on right, one block past museum)

From UNCG
1. Take Highway 49 (University City Blvd) heading south
2. Follow signs to Highway 29 South (Tryon Street)
3. Stay on Tryon Street all the way downtown
4. Turn right onto 6th Street
5. Parking deck is on the right behind the museum

From Eastland Mall
1. Take Central Ave heading west
2. Turn right onto 7th Street
3. Turn left onto Church Street
4. Turn right onto 6th Street

From Hickory
1. Take Highway 321 South to Highway 16 East
2. Highway 16 turns into Brookshire Blvd
3. Brookshire Blvd will turn into the Brookshire Freeway East
4. Take the Church Street Exit (no exit number)
5. Turn right onto Church Street
6. At the 3rd light, turn right onto 6th Street
7. Our parking deck is immediately on the right

1. We are 1.3 miles from the train station
2. Route 11 Bus Stop is about 1 block from Amtrak at corner of Tryon and Dalton, call 704-336-3366 for bus times
3. Route 11 Bus will take you to the Charlotte Transportation Center (301 East Trade Street)
4. If walking from Transpiration Center, head east on Trade one block towards downtown. Turn right on Tryon Street. Discovery Place will be 3 blocks on your left.
