Old Brick Pit Description:
This barbecue stalwart has regained lost ground in quality. The barbecue pulled pork sandwich shows a lovely mix of moist, tender inside meat and crusty outside meat, with ample sweet smokiness. The medium-bodied sauce strikes a fine balance of tomato and tang. The ribs are pre-steamed, and they're gray all the way through---no pink "smoke" ring---but nicely seasoned and tasty. The menu is straightforward, focused on pork and chicken, plus the usual sides including decently flavored Brunswick stew, good (but not distinctive) coleslaw, and baked beans.
