Noir Description:
Giving Harvardians a sleek little slice of the lounge life, this Charles Hotel boîte maintains a film noir motif via creative cocktails. They are named for classics like the Black Dahlia (vodka, blue curaçao and pomegranate juice, garnished with fresh raspberries) and a blue cheese-stuffed olive-spiked martini called the Dirty Harry, as well as the oldies the trench-coated heroes of the genre would order, like sidecars and rusty nails. To accompany them is a sassy assortment of snacks designed by the celebrated chef of the Charles's own Rialto, Jody Adams; we especially like the grilled flatbreads (though we sure miss that spinach dip).
