Chef-owner Tim Wiechmann blends French technique, a strong creative streak, and a globe-trotting eclecticism; his wife Bronwyn is a warmly hospitable presence, always at the entrance to welcome new guests and regulars. The high-ceilinged space is airy and the tables closely spaced, yielding a Spartan bistro ambience that belies the luxuriousness of the food. Cunning amuse-bouches like a thumb-size Maine lobster salad sandwich are a preface to the locavore riches to come, like a Duxbury oyster shooter submerged in a shot glass of cold beet broth.
