Ottavio's Italian Restaurant Description:
Family-owned Italian restaurant with an Italian atmosphere.
Located off the Carmen exit of the Rte. 101/ Ventura Fwy. On the south side of the freeway near Old Town.
Ottavio's has been tossing pizza dough and saucing pasta since 1969 for Camarillo residents and tourists. Locals still gather here for pizza, fresh salads, hearty lasagna and grilled shrimp al pomodoro. The dough for the pizza and rolls is made in-house so the bread is always hot and springy. The tomato sauce is bright and flavorful, and the vegetables are fresh and good-looking. It's a short drive from the Camarillo Premium Outlets mall for a quick lunch or relaxing dinner. The large space has been remodeled a bit since opening, but it doesn't exactly feel modern with its brass and glass touches, wall murals and hanging tapestries. No matter, because there's plenty of seating, a full bar, and friendly servers. Early bird specials run from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. Sun.-Thurs.
