Signs for the beach town institution's $2.50 margaritas and Bloody Marys abound, with takers any time of day. Typical greasy spoon fare, like classic hash browns, coaxes life back into late night revelers come weekends. However, surprisingly fresh fare, like the grilled vegetable salad chock full of asparagus, portobello mushrooms, squash, bell peppers and a sprinkling of feta, highlight that they indeed know a thing or two about how Californians like to eat.
