Sabor of Spain Description:
This Spanish restaurant's wine bar offers more than 160 Spanish selections available by the bottle, and more than a dozen by the glass; a wine club lets regulars buy cases at a good price. The menu emphasizes hot and cold small plates of classic Spanish tapas, some California-inspired dishes and entrées including the classic paella Valenciana. Among the small plates, don't miss the grilled padrone peppers; pequillo peppers stuffed with seafood mousse; grilled, skewered calamari with seaweed salad; hearty albondigas (meatballs) with garlic mashed potatoes; and roasted dates stuffed with Spanish cheese and wrapped in bacon. Tuesdays through Fridays, Sabor offers one of Marin's best happy hours, with two-for-one tapas and $4 glasses of wine before 6 p.m.
