Mei Long Village Description:
Mei Long Village's xiaolongbao (small soupy dumplings) are the subject of many Mandarin-inflected conversations in this part of town. Other wheat-based snacks cover the menu — they are typical street grub in Shanghai. These include potstickers and shenjianbao (pan-fried jiaozi and baozi, respectively), scallion pancakes and the sweet red bean pancakes. There are also several home-style dishes echoing the everyday meals of eastern China.
