Pine Cone Diner Description:
Eating at the Pine Cone Diner will make you wish you had a small cabin in Point Reyes Station, just so that you could become a regular at this homey spot. Frequent visits will be required, at any rate, to work through the menu of comfort classics: the obligatory burger (made with local grass-fed beef, of course), pan-fried trout and eggs, giant breakfast sandwiches and an ever-changing selection of desserts, including, if you're lucky, a very fine nectarine-blueberry cobbler. The thick espresso shakes are not to be missed. Though the waitresses' T-shirts claim the Pine Cone Diner has "great food, prickly service," don't let them fool you---both food and service are diner-perfect.
