This Southern California chain started in Long Beach and has grown into a small group of restaurants serving up hickory wood-smoked barbecue, Southern specialties, house-made desserts, plus live blues on the weekends. The décor is Southern kitsch, with old license plates, vintage signage, wood booths and long tables. The menu is quite vast, with American favorites, entrée salads, pastas, sandwiches and, of course, lots of barbecue specialties.
