Is there a more quintessentially NorCal spot than Bolinas? The beloved secret of Marin, this seaside town just down the road from Stinson Beach is a fine day trip destination. Once there, it's easy to fall for Coast Café on Bolinas' main (and only) drag. The straightforward menu features something for everyone. Try the whopping turkey club sandwich, loaded with freshly roasted turkey and lots of Niman Ranch bacon, or a burger made from locally raised beef, paired with a creamy slaw or crispy french fries. The dinner menu is rounded out by a few other dishes, including fish 'n' chips, pizza and grilled rib-eye steaks, as well as soups and salads full of vegetables from nearby Star Route Farms. Great coffee, friendly (if slow) service and a genuine small-town vibe make Coast Café a nice escape.
