Casa Lupe Mexican Restaurant Description:
The family-run Casa Lupe is a comfortable spot that won't challenge (or burn) any taste buds or drain the wallet. The portions are big enough to share, but good enough that you won't want to. The margaritas, served frozen with a silver of salt on the glass, are first-rate. The most popular offering is the create-your-platter deal, where folks chose from chile rellenos, tamales, and the usual suspects to generate their own one-, two- or three-item beasts. The specials, however, are often tastier than the do-it-yourself combo plates. Fish tacos, served with properly grilled, fresh slices of catfish, are topnotch. The restaurant also has a fine mole sauce---rich, chocolaty and nutty---that goes especially well with the chicken enchiladas. Definitely save your appetite for dessert. The buñuelos, crispy sweet flour chips served with ice cream, is dreamy. Staff is friendly.
