Carnival Restaurant Description:
Skewers of meats are among the many specialties here, and you can't go wrong with any of them. But it's difficult to beat the combination appetizer plate. The larger version is enough food for several meals, and includes crispy falafel, hummus, baba ghanouj, tabbouleh and warm pita. Among the more exotic sounding choices is fool mudammas---tender fava beans prepared with lemon, garlic and olive oil. You'll also find favorites like shwarma, a pita burger and lamb kebabs. The carnival burger is a patty of beef and lamb combined, served on a sesame seed bun with french fries---border-crossing comfort food. Some of the truly traditional dishes may not be for everyone, like lamb liver, but the menu is extensive. Some wines and beers are available, as are Arabic coffee and espresso.
