A must-visit during local Dungeness crab and wild salmon seasons, fresh catches from somewhere make it worth a stop anytime. Start off with herbaceous crab cakes in red pepper coulis, happily more crab than filler, or a quartet of barbecued oysters paired with one of the local draught beers (ignore the dismal wines by the glass, though there are several choice bottles). Mains might include fish 'n' chips---firm red snapper in a golden jacket served with steak frites and coleslaw, or plump prawns in a garlicky tomato, onion, and mushroom stew over yellow rice and pattypan squash.
