Tannins tries to be all things for tiny San Clemente as a neighborhood Italian restaurant and wine bar; Ibiza nightclub is adjacent. Lunch is full of Italian and American-style salads, hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches and a smattering of pastas and pizzas from the dinner menu. Dinner is a more formal affair with signature dishes such as truffle butternut squash ravioli, sausage and peppers, veal piccata, chicken Marsala, shrimp scampi and an herb-scented filet mignon. The neighboring Ibiza at Tannins nightclub is open Thursday through Saturday evenings with DJs spinning until the early morning hours.
