Tanner Jack's Description:
The Western-themed décor in this family-friendly eatery might seem a bit kitschy, but the food is definitely finger-licking good. Signature dishes such as the beef tri-tip and slabs of baby-back ribs are wood smoked, slathered with Tanner Jack's own barbecue sauce and finished over flaming red oak and mesquite. Some of that smoked tri tip also finds its way into the all-meat chili---a rich and spicy concoction that's a meal in itself. All the meats are certified Angus beef, and one of our favorites is the top sirloin cap steak (also known as culotte steak) which combines the flavor of top sirloin with the tenderness of a filet mignon. If you're in a non-meat mood, go for the barbecued shrimp, Cajun fettuccine Alfredo or one of the generous salads. The desserts are all homemade, so you really can't go wrong with any of them, especially the brownie or cobbler. Tanner Jack's also makes its own microbrews, which you can enjoy for only $1 a pint during the daily happy hour from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. In addition, the restaurant's open every day for hearty breakfasts, including a Sunday brunch buffet with cooked-to-order omelets.
