Hidden in a small South Pas shopping center, Fanta-Sea's location is hardly a restaurateur's dream, but locals have apparently discovered this little spot that offers fresh seafood with a healthful---no butter, no MSG, low sodium---Japanese flair. The eatery has a clean dining area decorated with whimsical cartoons featuring smiling sea creatures. The menu offers dishes like tasty tempura-battered miniature lobster tails with ponzu sauce, dynamite shrimp (kind of a spicy Asian bouillabaisse), seared sea scallops, Chilean sea bass or tilapia with black bean sauce, and top-quality ahi steaks served with a smooth yogurt-based wasabi sauce. Sashimi salad, blue crab and tofu burger and an oversize tempura shrimp salad round out a relatively sin-free menu.
