Parkside Grille Description:
Nestled in redwoods, this restaurant has a mountain feel, with high ceilings, an open kitchen and lots of windows. The pizzas from the wood-burning oven and the grilled items are best. One starter we'd go back for is the roasted corn-and-sweet potato chowder; another is the warm spinach salad with seared scallops and pancetta. You'll find a Spago-like smoked salmon pizza, a four-cheese version and a simple margherita. The main courses hit the right notes in the form of a horseradish-coated salmon, a smoked pork chop, Greek marinated lamb chops and delicious baby-back ribs. Vegetarians probably will like the oven-roasted vegetables in a goat-cheese strudel. The wine list features mostly California wines, including some local bottlings.
