Eclectic Wine Bar and Grille Description:
Originally a café and live music venue that many credit with jump-starting the burgeoning NoHo Arts District, Eclectic Café has evolved into a stylish, full-service restaurant with a menu that offers---as the name implies---a little bit of something for everyone. The room, carved into intimate spaces by undulating concrete dividers, sports candlelit tables dramatically decked out in black linen, palm fronds and bold Modern and Native American art. Diverse appetizers include steamed mussels in white wine-garlic shallot broth, Chinese pot stickers, crab cakes and Niçoise salad. A large selection of pastas, burgers and pizzas is available, plus more ambitious fare like cheese tortellini with artichoke hearts and prosciutto; a 14-ounce rib-eye marinated with rosemary and garlic; sautéed sea scallops with butter, lemon, white wine and oregano sauce; and, for dessert, decadent cappuccino mousse cake.
