K'Ya Description:
The charming K'ya is quite the opposite of its cousin restaurant at the very modern Hotel Ménage in Anaheim. The cuisine from longtime chef Craig Connole is rather good, but locals hang here for the lively Euro bistro vibe and reasonable prices. Located inside the historic La Casa del Camino boutique hotel, K'ya is a casual place for breakfast, with a mix of common (bagels, oatmeal, pancakes) and uncommon (filet mignon, shrimp ranchero, Creole scrambles) dishes. The lunch and dinner menu is more globally inspired. Appetizers include empanadas, pork wontons, fried calamari and ahi poke. We suggest the fresh salads, and the open-face panini are full of Mediterranean flavors. The menu also features New Orleans-style fish dishes, grilled meats, pastas, risottos and burgers. There's even a stew section for such delicacies as gumbo, cassoulet, coq au vin and boeuf bourguignon. Most wines are available in four different pour levels and feature selections mostly from Napa Valley.
