Ruby's has become a major success story since it began selling hamburgers, fries, cherry Cokes and a '40s atmosphere from its original location in an old bait house on the end of the Balboa Pier. That spot is still going strong, and the Ruby's empire now extends all the way to the Philadelphia suburbs. The burgers are still good, and it even offers huge salads.
