Sushi Sho Description:
Chef Aki Kawata presides over this small sushi bar in northern Berkeley.
There's not a huge selection of fish, but his patrons swear by its quality. Several types of vegetables (pickled daikon, burdock root, avocado, and others) are also available - vegetarians won't be left hungry.
Aki, who was trained in part by the sushi chef for the late Japanese emperor, may also offer genial advice on how to eat and prepare sushi, and how to recognise a good sushi chef.
