Rock'n Fish Description:
Downtown Manhattan Beach has become a year-round playground for the young and moneyed, and many restaurants near the pier have shifted their emphasis from serving fine food to keeping the booze flowing. Michael Zislis' ROCK'N FISH is one of the exceptions, a classic seafood and steakhouse that has top-notch service and pays attention to detail. The menu features New Orleans-inspired pastas and Asian-influenced specialties, while an oak grill supplies steaks and seafood to diners who prefer simpler plates. The large and ever-changing wine list is fairly priced and strong on small Napa and Sonoma producers, and the by-the-glass list is the best in town. Service remains attentive even when the place is booming, and the place is often buzzing long after the rest of town has shut down.
