Located in the Laguna Cliffs Marriot Resort and Spa in Dana Point, the Vue Restaurant offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Harbor.
VUE overlooks Dana Point Harbor at its Laguna Cliffs Resort & Spa locale. This contemporary restaurant was transformed a few years back by ditching the outdated nautical theme and replacing it with down-to-earth browns, black marble tables, mirrored booths and low lighting. At breakfast, guests can order American-style egg dishes, healthy items or opt for the buffet. Lunch is full of sandwiches and salads, but there are also burgers, pizza and a New York strip steak. Chef Anton Cossi shines best at dinner with his Italian-inspired creations like a creamy lobster risotto with salty olive tapenade and pungent lemon oil. Entrées are just as flavorful and include a tender coffee-crusted rib-eye steak, wild salmon with curry quinoa, and Chilean sea bass with morel and artichoke purée. The wine list is a well-chosen mix of the Old and New World. For dessert, don't miss the chocolate pot de crème and the ginger cake topped with house-made vanilla ice cream. The service here is also topnotch with knowledgeable servers and an experienced maître d', who also acts as sommelier.
