Pear Street Bistro Description:
The chef here characterizes his cuisine as "California with rustic Italian overtones"---a puzzling combination until you actually take a look at the menu. On the one hand there are classic pastas; on the other, Left Coast favorites. Thin-crust pizzas come with a variety of toppings including pear, Gorgonzola, caramelized onion and balsamic reduction. This is a house specialty, and we recommend that you try it. Pear also makes its way onto the menu in a nice romaine salad drizzled with frothy Champagne vinaigrette; and finally at the close of the meal in the form of a snappy pear-Merlot sorbet.
