McPhee's Grill Description:
Chef Ian McPhee has an obsession with using fresh local ingredients, so if you order the abalone special you can bet it came from a nearby abalone farm. McPhee throws all kinds of ethnic influences into the mix: you might start with kung fu baby-back ribs with Asian slaw or a chile-spiked duck quesadilla. McPhee's oak-grilled specialties range from lamb chops with smoked chorizo to a rib-eye steak with three salsas. Pastas and pizzas are also available, including fettuccine tossed with rich Creole jambalaya sauce. Be sure to check out the nightly specials. For dessert, savor the crème brûlée with one of several late harvest or port-style wines available by the glass. The rest of the wine list celebrates the local wine industry of which McPhee has been a longtime champion, and the $20 corkage fee is waived if you buy a bottle. The dinner menu is also served at Avila Beach Golf Resort.
