Les Sisters Description:
It’s hard not to fall in love with this neighborhood gem, where regulars tuck into plump deep-fried oysters, soulful gumbo and jambalaya, barbecued ribs and cornmeal-crusted catfish with traditional Southern fixin’s (collard greens, candied yams, hush puppies). Satisfying desserts include cobbler, bourbon bread pudding and the signature buttermilk pie. The storefront is basically no-frills, but checkerboard vinyl tablecloths, jazz posters and Mardi gras beads give it a homey feel, and the staff couldn’t be more warm and accommodating.
