Lallapalooza Description:
After-five revelers sip from an extensive martini menu, cooling down with the cucumber and gin-infused "spatini" or finding their fetish in a cranberry and Cointreau "Betty Paige." Slip away to one of the oversize booths and order from the something-for-everyone American menu. Staff delivers big smiles and quick service. Carpetbagger bites, small in size are feisty in flavor, including oyster-stuffed steak wrapped in bacon, and mahi mahi tacos partnered with pineapple and avocado relish. There's pizzazz in the colorful crab cakes with red pepper aïoli. Unfortunately, other offerings aren't quite as gutsy. The artichoke pizza let us down with its bland, bagel-like dough and meager toppings. Skip dessert: A brownie with the consistency of pudding is far from chewy, and crème brûlée is as average as any other. Most patrons opt to drink their Chocolate Cake: Frangelico, Absolut Vanilla and sugared lemon.
