La Boheme Description:
La Boheme is a good choice for those seeking a romantic meal with topnotch service and high-end cuisine. The wine list is varied, the menu predominantly French. Starters include traditional favorites such as pâté and escargots, as well as blackened seafood and Louisiana shellfish gratin. Mains include classic dishes such as steak Diane and duck a l'orange, as well as more unique selections such as elk with rosemary mustard sauce and Châteaubriand for two. Desserts are equally ambitious, and include crêpes Suzette and cherries jubilee, flambéed tableside.

Review :
My partner and I had 3 guests come from out of town and we wanted to take them somewhere nice for dinner. My partner and I have been to La Boheme a few years back on separate occasions and thoroughly enjoyed it. Last night however was the complete opposite. It was extremely embarrassing to us and to our guests to rave about a restaurant and then have the service be so horrible. We had reserved our table in advance had nice center seats but the amount of time to get our drinks and to order our entrees was painful. Im not sure whether there was just one waiter on staff but he was running around with his head cut off. We tried several times to get his attention but his focus was elsewhere. I had to ask several bus boys for service. We were going to order dessert but decided against it considering wed most likely be there for another 30-40 minutes before were able to order. The restaurant was certainly not busy (Wednesday night) with many open tables. Furthermore, he took so long to pick up the cheque I literally had to walk up to the service station and hand him the bill. The waiter did offer an apology for such bad service but at that point it really did not matter nor was it an excuse for anything. I ordered the sea bass which was a little on the dry side but everyone else seemed to enjoy there entre. Food ok, service pitiful.
Last night was a huge disappointment considering the name of La Boheme.
I strongly suggest if you have friends from out of town to reconsider taking them to La Boheme.
