Fifi's Café Bistro Description:
Seemingly ho-hum from the street, inside serious attempts at romantic décor abound. Fifi's gussies up in gold gilded mirrors, red velveteen drapes and music to swoon by. The menu is as traditional as the interior design, steeped in French classics with the odd dish out. There are escargots in garlic butter, quintessential French onion soup, and duck mousse pâté to start. We like the steak frites for a casual supper, charbroiled Angus flat-iron steak, the fries served hot and crispy, or the salt-roasted duck à l'orange with a Grand Marnier sauce for more panache. Do as the locals do at this Pacific Grove spot---take advantage of the early bird menu and mid-week specials.
