Coronado Brewing Company Description:
This friendly spot near the northern tip of Coronado draws an energetic crowd for the locally brewed beers and vast menu. Wood-fired pizzas are the stars of the culinary show, though you can get a nice burger, hearty ribs, calzones and a decent steak as well. Finger foods abound with beer-battered onion rings, calamari strips, Hawaiian ahi skewers and piquant quesadillas leading the charge. A number of beers are readily available with the Islander IPA as a highlight, a medium-bodied brew bursting with hops, well accompanied by a side of spicy potato flautas. Pub fare like fish 'n' chips or bratwurst sandwiches is also available. Heavy desserts like mud pie and an "outrageous" brownie drizzled in hot fudge fit the bill. Kids eat free on Tuesdays.
