Cafe Cordiale Description:
Loyal locals fill the dining room here, where polished wood tables and striped banquettes provide a conservative sense of style that complements a handsome stone-topped bar. Although in business on this site for more than twenty years, the current restaurant was rebuilt after the Northridge earthquake destroyed the original building. Starters on the extensive menu range from salmon-and-lobster cakes to a pizza that could easily be a main course, as well as a variety of salads. Entrée options include chicken Marsala, grilled salmon, steak and a host of pastas, including a Thai-style linguine with peanut sauce. Service is neighborhood-friendly.
