British Bankers Club Description:
The landmark building housing British Bankers Club was built in 1922; it was first a bank before later becoming Menlo Park's city hall, police department, jail and public library. It's doubtful, however, that it's ever served a more central role to its community than it does currently as the home to the BBC. This classic pub is not just located in the heart of Menlo Park, it may well be the heart of Menlo Park. The neighborly establishment is elegantly adorned, boasting several stunning stained glass windows, Tiffany lamps and chandeliers. As one would expect, the BBC has an excellent beer list and the bartenders know how to mix a proper martini. The menu features such bar and grill staples as steak sandwiches, cheeseburgers and overflowing salads as well as English classics like bangers and mash and shepherd's pie.
